The McMillan TAC-50C is a modern evolution of one of the most formidable long-range rifles ever built—a bolt-action .50 BMG built for extreme-distance shooting and serious intent. Built on the new Cadex Dual Strike chassis system, this rifle brings precision engineering and modularity to the .50 BMG platform. If you're shooting competitions at distance, conducting long-range training, or need a .50 BMG that balances capability with user comfort, the TAC-50C is purpose-built for that mission.
The Cadex Dual Strike 50 Series chassis represents a major step forward in ergonomics and adaptability. The adjustable cheekpiece with vertical travel and adjustable length of pull mean you can dial in the gun to your body and shooting position, not the other way around. The redesigned pistol grip accommodates a wider range of hand sizes and works equally well whether you're shooting bare-handed or in cold-weather gloves. Three 1913 MIL-STD rail sections give you mounting flexibility for glass, lasers, or other field instruments. The match-grade trigger is tuned for consistency and is field-adjustable to suit your preference.
McMillan's barrel is match-grade stainless steel with a 1:15 twist, optimized for .50 BMG cartridges and built to tolerate the brutal recoil impulse of the round. The muzzle brake is integral to the design, mitigating felt recoil without sacrificing the extreme ballistic efficiency the .50 is known for. Cerakote finish on the metal matches the tan chassis, providing durability and a cohesive appearance. At 29 pounds, it's as manageable as a .50 BMG gets; at 56.5 inches overall, it's designed for stability rather than quick handling.
Every McMillan TAC-50C ships with a five-round magazine, so you're ready to load and shoot immediately. This isn't a rifle for everyone—it's for shooters who've committed to the .50 BMG cartridge and demand precision, durability, and thoughtful ergonomics.
