Magpul
The Magpul MOE FCS fixed carbine stock is a no-nonsense, budget-friendly upgrade for AR-15 and LR-308 platforms running mil-spec receiver extensions. If you've been running a bare buffer tube or want to replace a worn factory stock without breaking the bank, this fixed stock delivers a solid cheek weld and clean lines in a lightweight synthetic package. It's the kind of part that doesn't try to do everything—it does one job well and gets out of your way, whether you're building a precision rifle, a patrol carbine, or a hunting setup.
The slim profile keeps your sight picture uncluttered and won't interfere with optic mounting or accessory placement. Multiple sling attachment options (including 1.25" loops) give you flexibility to set up your preferred carry method. The fixed length design means no rattling, no wobble from a loose castle nut, and zero maintenance. Installation is straightforward; you don't need an armorer's tools or a vice block—just swap it onto your mil-spec tube and you're done. The synthetic construction is durable and weather-resistant, holding up just fine to field use, training, or long-term storage.
Magpul designed this stock to work with ASAP Plates if you want to add quick-detach sling attachment, and it accepts PRS Extended Rubber Butt-Pads if you want to adjust the length of pull or add extra cushioning. It's made in the USA and reflects Magpul's philosophy: solid, functional, and honest. No hype, no features you don't need, just a stock that fits tight and stays put.
| Compatibility | Mil-spec carbine-length buffer tubes (AR-15, LR-308) |
| Length of Pull | 12.2 inches |
| Material | Durable polymer |
| Sling Loop Size | 1.25 inches |
| Type | Fixed (non-collapsible) |
| Country of Origin | USA |
The MOE FCS is designed for mil-spec carbine-length buffer tubes, which are standard on most AR-15s and LR-308s. If your receiver extension is mil-spec sized, this stock will fit. If you have a commercial-diameter tube, this is not the right choice.
The MOE FCS is a fixed-length stock set at 12.2 inches of pull. It does not collapse or extend. However, it is compatible with PRS Extended Rubber Butt-Pads, which can be added to increase length or comfort.
No. The installation is non-armorer and does not require removal of the castle nut or lock plate. You can install it directly onto your mil-spec buffer tube without special tools.
The stock features 1.25-inch sling loops for direct sling attachment. It is also compatible with ASAP Plates if you prefer quick-detach sling mounting.
