The Magpul MAG498-BLK-RT Rail Light Mount for AR Platform is a polymer Picatinny rail attachment built to get your weapon light exactly where you need it—high, forward, and ready for duty or sport. If you're running an AR platform rifle with a standard 1913 Picatinny rail on your handguard or foregrip, this right-side mount positions your light at the 1 o'clock position, keeping the beam ahead of your support hand and minimizing the shadow your barrel casts on the target. That forward cant also lets you drive a more natural, extended support-hand grip without the light getting in the way.

Built from reinforced polymer, the MAG498-BLK-RT handles the real world without apology. A textured thumb ramp molded into the mount serves double duty: it gives your hand a consistent index point for repeatable placement, and it doubles as a tactile reminder of where your light controls are. The mount plays well with other Magpul gear too—integrate it with XTM rail panels for a cohesive, modular setup.

Compatibility is refreshingly simple. The included anodized aluminum mounting rings accommodate Surefire 300 and 600 series Scout Lights, 1913 Picatinny-pattern pistol lights, and any light body between 0.75" and 1.03" in diameter. If your light fits one of those profiles, you're good to go without hunting down proprietary adapters. Magpul manufactures this piece in the USA, so you know the tolerances are tight and the material will stand up to hard use.
