The Magpul Forward Sling Mount for Mossberg 590A1 is a steel sling attachment point engineered to work with Mossberg 590A1 series shotguns. If you run a 590A1 and want to add a sling without drilling or permanent modifications, this mount clamps directly onto the barrel and magazine tube for a clean, reversible setup. Magpul designed it specifically around the A1's heavier barrel profile, so it fits right without improvisation.

Built from precision cast steel and treated with Melonite for durability in hard use, the mount accepts a range of common sling hardware. You can run it with Push-Button QD (quick-detach) sling swivels for fast attachment and removal, or configure it for single-point clip-in systems including the Magpul MS3 Paraclip, HK hook, ITW MASH hook, and similar attachments. That flexibility means you can tailor your sling setup to match your carry style—whether that's tactical, hunting, or practical shotgun work.

Important note: this mount is purpose-built for the Mossberg 590A1 with factory extended magazine tube. It will not fit other Mossberg models or standard 590 variants, so confirm your shotgun model before ordering. Made in the USA, it's a solid choice for 590A1 owners who want a robust, purpose-fit attachment point without hassle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this sling mount fit my Mossberg 590?

No—this mount is designed exclusively for the Mossberg 590A1 series with factory extended magazine tube. It will not fit standard 590 models or other Mossberg shotguns. If you own a 590A1, you're good; if you're unsure of your model, check your shotgun's markings or manual before ordering.

What sling hardware can I use with this mount?

The mount works with Push-Button QD sling swivels for quick-detach setups, and with single-point clip-in attachments including the Magpul MS3 Paraclip, HK hook, ITW MASH hook, and similar hardware. This gives you flexibility to match the mount to your preferred sling system.

Does this require any modifications to my shotgun?

No. The mount clamps onto the barrel and magazine tube, so installation is completely reversible. There is no drilling, welding, or permanent modification needed.

What finish is this mount, and will it hold up in the field?

The mount is finished in Melonite black, a process that treats the cast steel for wear and corrosion resistance. Melonite is a proven hardening treatment that stands up to outdoor and tactical use without special maintenance.
