Magnum Research
The Magnum Research Desert Eagle .50 AE pistol with integrated muzzle brake is a full-size, gas-operated semiautomatic hand cannon engineered for shooters who demand serious stopping power and don't compromise on construction. Built around the legendary .50 Action Express cartridge, this is a pistol designed for those who want a firearm that makes a statement at the range or in a dedicated handgun collection—it's not a carry gun, and it's not subtle, but it's undeniably a conversation-starter with genuine engineering behind the legend.
The DE50IMB leverages a rotating bolt operating system paired with a 6-inch barrel and integrated muzzle brake to manage the substantial recoil inherent to the .50 AE cartridge. The frame, slide, and barrel are machined from high-quality carbon steel and finished in black oxide, complemented by a full-length Weaver accessory rail for mounting optics or lights. Combat-style fixed sights come standard, and the 8.5-inch sight radius supports accurate shooting from the bench or the line. At 4 lbs. 12 oz., this is a hefty pistol—that weight works in your favor by absorbing recoil and promoting stability during shooting sequences.
Ergonomically, the Desert Eagle presents a 2.75-inch trigger reach and a single-action trigger with an approximate 4-pound pull. The polygonal rifling features six lands and grooves with a right-hand twist (1 turn in 19 inches), and the magazine holds 7 rounds of .50 AE ammunition. This is a manual-of-arms pistol—it rewards proper technique and respect for its cartridge—and it's a proven platform for handloaders and serious centerfire shooters who understand the commitment that comes with owning one.
If you're after a large-caliber semiautomatic pistol that's as much a collector's piece as a shooting tool, the Desert Eagle .50 AE delivers iconic design paired with functional engineering that's stood the test of time.
