The KCI USA AK-47 7.62x39mm 75-round drum magazine is a high-capacity feeding solution built for AK-47 and AKM pattern rifles that prioritizes both storage and reliable operation. Unlike traditional box magazines, this steel drum design uses a central-column feed system that maintains a fixed center of gravity throughout firing—a real advantage if you're running sustained fire or testing reliability. The back-loading design means you can fill all 75 rounds without fighting spring tension, then simply twist the tension key to activate proper spring pressure when you're ready to shoot. If you store it fully loaded for contingency situations, there's zero spring stress, so it'll be ready to go indefinitely without fatigue or wear.

Built from steel with a stainless steel spring and a corrosion-resistant cation electrodeposition coating, this magazine is engineered to handle field use and occasional storage. At 2.1 pounds, it's noticeably heavier than a standard box mag, but that weight reflects the robust construction and the mechanical advantage of the drum design. This is the kind of magazine that appeals to shooters running their rifles hard—whether at the range, in training, or in a scenario where capacity and reliability matter.

Keep in mind that KCI USA covers this magazine under a lifetime warranty so long as you don't disassemble it. Also note that hollow point ammunition is not recommended with this design, and it's engineered only for 7.62x39mm in AK-pattern rifles, so double-check your platform before ordering.
