Mace Security International
The Mace Security International 10% Pepper Gel Spray (Model 80535) is a personal defense tool designed for hunters, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts who need reliable protection in remote or backcountry settings. Unlike traditional liquid pepper spray, this gel formulation sticks to a target rather than atomizing into the air, making it effective even in windy conditions where standard aerosol sprays lose potency. The gel stream technology creates a thick, adhesive barrier that incapacitates an attacker on contact, giving you distance and control when you need it most.
Pepper gel works by triggering respiratory distress, intense coughing, and impaired vision—giving you time to escape a threat. The 10% OC (oleoresin capsicum) concentration is at the legal maximum for consumer defense sprays, delivering serious stopping power. The canister also contains a UV dye that marks an assailant, providing evidence for law enforcement and identification purposes. With 20 bursts per canister and an effective range of 18 feet, you get multiple deployment opportunities and substantial standoff distance.
This black aerosol model fits easily into a backpack, belt holster, or vehicle, making it practical for hunters who spend long hours in the field. The gel's adhesive nature means fewer worries about wind blowback affecting your own safety—a real advantage over liquid sprays in unpredictable outdoor conditions. Whether you're dealing with an aggressive animal, an unwanted encounter, or a genuine self-defense scenario, pepper gel offers faster target acquisition and more predictable results than traditional sprays.
