AeroPrecision
The Aero Precision M5E1 Enhanced 308 Winchester assembled upper receiver in Olive Drab Green is the foundation of a modern large-frame AR platform built for accuracy and reliability. This one-piece design integrates the handguard mounting platform directly into the receiver forging, eliminating the need for separate components and delivering a rigid, streamlined base for your .308 rifle build. Whether you're assembling a precision long-range rig, a hunting platform, or a dedicated range gun, the M5E1 gives you a no-nonsense starting point with all the hardware and features already in place.
The integrated design isn't just elegant—it's engineered for performance. By combining the upper and handguard mount into a single forging, Aero Precision achieves superior rigidity while reducing the fasteners required to just eight screws. That single-piece construction also allowed them to machine lightening cuts into the receiver, reducing overall weight and improving heat dissipation during extended shooting sessions. Assembly is straightforward: drop in your barrel assembly, torque the included barrel nut to spec, slide on an Aero Precision M5 Enhanced Handguard, and you have a modular, free-floated rail system ready to go.
The receiver comes fully assembled and ready to work. Both the dust cover and forward assist are installed, and you get the barrel nut needed for setup. The M4 feedramps ensure reliable feeding of standard .308 ammunition, while the .2795 takedown pin holes maintain compatibility with your lower receiver. The Olive Drab Green finish blends tactical aesthetics with proven durability.
Keep in mind: the M5E1 platform is purpose-built to work with Aero Precision's M5 Enhanced Handguards. It is not compatible with standard AR10 or other .308 handguard systems. If you're already committed to the M5 ecosystem or starting fresh, this is a decisive advantage—one platform, one mounting system, maximum compatibility and reliability.
