The Lyman 7770075 Accu-Prime Priming Tool is a precision hand-priming solution built around a patented adjustable punch mechanism that sets it apart from traditional priming tools. Whether you're loading rifle or pistol rounds, achieving consistent primer seating depth is critical to safe, reliable ammunition—and the Accu-Prime addresses the root cause of inconsistency that trips up many reloaders. Instead of relying on the rim's top surface to position the case (which varies with rim thickness), Lyman's design uses the primer cup itself as a positive stop against the case's bottom surface. That means you can dial in and control exactly how far the primer sits below flush, eliminating the guesswork and the variation that rim-thickness tolerance stacking creates.
The tool's operation is smooth and intuitive: hand-place a primer in the cup, then use the side lever to seat it with a 90-degree travel. The smooth helix camming system does the heavy lifting, so you're not muscling the press. Setup is flexible too—the tool works with all standard shellholders and can be oriented for right- or left-hand operation, making it accessible whether you're a righty or lefty, or whether your reloading bench is organized one way or another.
If you've been frustrated by the feel-based method of other hand primers, or if you've noticed variation in your loaded rounds despite your best efforts, the Accu-Prime's patented approach to primer seating depth control will tighten your groups and build confidence in your handloads. It's the kind of tool that pays for itself in consistency and peace of mind across hundreds of rounds.

Yes. The Accu-Prime can be positioned for either right- or left-hand operation, making it suitable for shooters of any handedness or for flexible bench setups.

This eliminates variation caused by rim thickness differences, allowing you to precisely control and repeat primer depth with every round.
The Accu-Prime works with standard shellholders and the adjustable primer seating system, which are available for both rifle and pistol cartridges. Check compatibility with your specific cartridge's shellholder availability.
