Luth-Ar
The Luth-Ar BA-11-7M is a Government-profile 5.56mm barrel built for shooters who want precision without the maintenance demands of chrome-lined steel. At 11.50 inches, this mid-length barrel strikes a balance between velocity and handling, making it a solid choice for short-stroke piston builds, SBR platforms, or anyone looking to swap in a fresh tube for their AR. The 4150 CMV steel construction delivers the strength you need for reliable performance, while the button-broached rifling ensures consistent accuracy shot after shot.
What sets this barrel apart is what's not there: no chrome lining. For some shooters, that's a feature. Chrome-lined barrels excel in high-volume military or duty use, but the added layers can slightly reduce accuracy potential at distance. If you're prioritizing accuracy over ease of cleaning in sustained fire scenarios, an unlined 4150 CMV barrel like this one lets you squeeze every bit of precision from your ammunition. You'll spend more time cleaning than you would with chrome-lined, but many precision-minded AR builders consider that a worthwhile trade.
Luth-Ar barrels are known for tight tolerances and straightness. The Government profile keeps your build compatible with standard handguards and furniture, and the 5.56mm chamber accepts both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. Whether you're assembling a new upper or refreshing an existing one, this barrel gives you quality steel and proven manufacturing at a price that won't break the budget.

Yes. The Government profile is the standard military AR barrel profile, so it's compatible with all common handguards, gas blocks, and mid-length or carbine-length gas systems.
Chrome lining adds a protective layer that resists corrosion and speeds cleaning, making it ideal for high-volume shooting or harsh conditions. Unlined barrels like this one can deliver slightly better accuracy because there are no additional layers that could affect rifling consistency. The trade-off is that you'll need to clean it more frequently to prevent rust.
Yes. This barrel is chambered in 5.56mm, which safely accommodates both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition.
This barrel is designed for 5.56mm rifle builds. At 11.50 inches, it works well in short-stroke piston systems and compact AR platforms, though you'll need to verify your specific build's gas system compatibility.
