Luth-Ar
The Luth-Ar A2 Rear Sight Assembly/Kit is a complete, build-it-yourself rear sight solution for AR platform rifles using A2 upper receivers. If you're assembling an AR from a parts kit or replacing a damaged rear sight, this kit gives you every component needed to get your iron sights back in the fight—you just need basic tools and a little patience. It's the kind of project that takes an afternoon and teaches you how your rifle actually works.
This is a genuine A2-pattern sight that'll drop right onto a standard A2 upper receiver. The kit includes the base lug, aperture, springs, windage knob assembly, and elevation index all in one package. That means no hunting across three different vendors or worrying about compatibility—Luth-Ar has thought through what you need and bundled it together. Whether you're doing a budget-conscious build, fixing worn sights, or just want a rock-solid backup to your optics, the A2 platform is proven and reliable.
Assembly does require attention to detail; this isn't a drop-in unit, but the straightforward design is forgiving for first-timers and veterans alike. Once assembled and mounted, you've got repeatable windage and elevation adjustments that have worked for generations of shooters. It's no-frills, functional, and exactly what it claims to be.
| Brand | Luth-Ar |
| Type | A2 Rear Sight Assembly/Kit |
| Compatibility | A2 Upper Receivers |
| Included Components | Rear base lug, aperture, windage knob assembly (knob, screw, pin, springs, ball bearings), spring, elevation index |
| Condition | Unassembled kit |
This kit is designed for A2 upper receivers. If your upper has a standard A2 receiver, it will mount. If you have a Picatinny rail upper or proprietary design, this won't work directly.
The kit supplies all the mechanical parts. Basic gunsmithing tools or a small pin punch will help with assembly, but nothing exotic is required. Many builders do this with tools already in their shop.
You get the rear base lug, aperture, windage knob with screw and pin, springs, ball bearings, and elevation index. Everything needed to assemble and install a complete A2 rear sight on a compatible upper receiver.
No—this is an unassembled kit. Assembly is required before installation, but the straightforward design and included parts make it manageable for builders at any level.
