The Liberty Precision Machine Eclipse Flash hider is a 1/2"x28 muzzle device engineered for 14.5" AR-platform barrels and other rifles with 1/2"x28 threaded muzzles. Built to help bring your rifle into compliance with legal barrel length requirements, this flash hider extends a 14.5" barrel to 16.1" overall length while managing muzzle flash and recoil impulse. It's a practical choice for short-barreled builds where you need both legal length and functional performance without sacrificing reliability or simplicity.

The Eclipse is machined with tight tolerances and features critical alignment surfaces cut in a single setup—a manufacturing detail that matters when precision and durability count. The .30 caliber bore accommodates centerfire rifle rounds, and it's compatible with common .900"-24 silencer mounts, including the Q Plan-B and Rearden MFG Atlas. That compatibility opens the door to suppressor use down the road if you decide to go that route.

One important caveat: this is a flash hider, not a suppressor, and Liberty recommends confirming alignment before firing. Also note that using this device with certain silencers may affect the warranty of those suppressors, so check with your silencer manufacturer before pairing them. It's the kind of detail that separates a good flash hider from one that'll cause headaches on the range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work with a suppressor?

The Eclipse is compatible with common .900"-24 silencer mounts like the Q Plan-B and Rearden MFG Atlas. However, Liberty Precision Machine notes that use of this muzzle device may void the warranty policies of some silencer manufacturers, so always confirm with your suppressor maker before coupling them together.

What barrel length is this made for?

The Eclipse is designed specifically for 14.5" barrels. It adds 1.6" in total length, bringing the overall barrel length to 16.1"—meeting the legal minimum for rifle barrel length in most jurisdictions without requiring a separate tax stamp.

What thread pitch does it use?

This model features a 1/2"x28 thread pitch, the standard for most modern AR-15s and other .30 caliber centerfire rifles. Verify your barrel's thread pitch before ordering.

Is alignment important before shooting?

Yes. Liberty Precision Machine recommends confirming alignment before use. Ensure the device is properly seated on the barrel threads and sitting square before firing.
