Lehigh Defense
The Lehigh Defense Maximum Expansion 300 Blackout ammunition delivers controlled, predictable expansion in the hunting and defensive scenarios where it matters most. Loaded with a 194-grain bullet engineered specifically for subsonic performance, this 300 Blackout round is built for shooters who rely on sound-suppressed rifles or subsonic-rated firearms. Each box contains 20 rounds of brass-cased ammunition ready for precision shooting at intermediate ranges.
Lehigh's maximum expansion technology uses hydraulic principles to create large, consistent wound channels when the bullet contacts fluid-based mediums—the kind of performance hunters and defensive shooters plan for. Importantly, these rounds behave differently in dense, non-fluid materials like bone, wood, or metal, expanding only when hydraulic forces are present. That distinction matters: it means you get the expansion profile you expect in the field or at the range, without over-penetration surprises.
Subsonic loads like this one are purpose-built for suppressed 300 Blackout rifles, keeping velocities below the sound barrier to maximize the effectiveness of a suppressor. Whether you're hunting hog, deer, or running defensive drills with a quiet setup, the 194-grain Lehigh Max Exp round offers a balance of energy, consistency, and practical performance that serious shooters have come to expect from the brand.
| Caliber | 300 Blackout |
| Bullet Weight | 194 grains |
| Velocity Profile | Subsonic |
| Case Type | Brass |
| Rounds Per Box | 20 |
| Bullet Design | Lehigh Maximum Expansion hollow point |
Yes. These rounds are loaded subsonic, meaning they're specifically designed to stay below the sound barrier when fired through a suppressed barrel. This maximizes suppressor efficiency and keeps the shot signature low.
Lehigh's maximum expansion design relies on hydraulic energy from contact with fluid-based mediums. The rounds will expand reliably when that condition is met. They do not expand on impact with dry, dense materials like bone, wood, drywall, or sheet metal—a key distinction that affects performance in different shooting scenarios.
Yes. The 194-grain subsonic load is appropriate for hunting game at the ranges where 300 Blackout is typically used, especially from a suppressed platform. Confirm your local hunting regulations and minimum velocity requirements for your game before use.
These rounds come in brass cases, which are reloadable. After firing, you can process and reload them according to standard reloading practices and your equipment capabilities.
