Lehigh Defense 300 AAC Blackout 115 grain Controlled Chaos lead-free ammunition delivers a radically different terminal performance than conventional rounds. Designed for shooters who demand both stopping power and deep penetration, the Controlled Chaos bullet's engineering separates into two distinct wound channels: the petals shed on impact create a massive temporary cavity and immediate energy transfer, while the solid base continues downrange in a straight line for reliable deep penetration. That combination—explosive initial effect coupled with consistent follow-through—makes this load a serious choice for hunters and shooters running 300 Blackout in everything from short-barreled rifles to longer guns running supersonic loads.

Lead-free construction matters if you're hunting in non-lead jurisdictions or simply prefer environmentally responsible ammunition without sacrificing terminal effect. The brass casing handles the Blackout cartridge's subsonic and supersonic velocity ranges reliably, and you get 20 rounds per box—a practical quantity for testing reliability in your gun before committing to larger quantities. Whether you're working with a short-range hunting rifle, a precision AR, or testing subsonic versus supersonic loads, this ammunition gives you a bullet design that works fundamentally differently than a traditional expanding round.

Lehigh Defense has earned a reputation among serious shooters for innovative bullet construction that actually delivers on its claims. The Controlled Chaos design isn't just marketing; the structural separation is repeatable and documented. If you've been running standard ammunition and wondering whether a different approach might perform better on game or targets, this is worth testing in your 300 Blackout.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this 300 Blackout ammunition work in both short-barrel and full-length rifles?

Yes. The brass casing is designed to handle supersonic velocities, so it functions reliably across different barrel lengths. Velocity will vary depending on your rifle's barrel length, but the ammunition itself is suitable for the full range of 300 Blackout platforms.

Is this ammunition actually lead-free?

Yes. Lehigh Defense Controlled Chaos ammunition is manufactured without lead, making it compliant with non-lead ammunition regulations and suitable for hunting areas with lead-ammunition restrictions.

What makes the Controlled Chaos bullet different from standard expanding ammunition?

The Controlled Chaos design sheds the front petals on impact, creating a dramatic temporary wound cavity and energy release, while the solid base continues penetrating in a straight line. This separation creates both immediate effect and reliable deep penetration—a different approach than traditional hollow-point or soft-point bullets.

How many rounds are in a box?

Each box contains 20 rounds of 300 AAC Blackout ammunition.
