The Lee Round Nose Pistol Mould in 6-cavity configuration is built for serious volume bullet casters who demand efficiency and consistency. This .452" 230-grain mould delivers the reliable performance Lee's known for, and the six-cavity setup means you can cast multiples in each cycle—critical if you're working through brass by the thousands. It's an excellent choice for handloaders producing ammunition for common large-bore pistol cartridges, whether for range testing loads or stocking up for regular shooting.
Lee engineered these moulds with steel bushings and alignment pins throughout the block, so the cavities stay true after thousands of casts. The CNC-machined cavities deliver the roundness and dimensional consistency that translates directly to uniform bullets. Where this mould really stands apart is the included cam-operated sprue plate: it eliminates the repetitive pounding of traditional moulds, reducing fatigue and wear on both the equipment and your hand. The sprue plate itself is hard-anodized for durability and secured with wave washers at each end to keep everything locked down under repeated use.
The aluminum mould block was chosen for its superior casting qualities—it conducts heat evenly and releases bullets cleanly. This is a bare mould; you'll need to source handles separately, but that flexibility lets you match them to whatever casting system you're running. Whether you're a production caster or a handloader committed to casting your own bullets for consistency and economy, this six-cavity setup is designed to keep pace with your workflow.
| Caliber/Diameter | .452" |
| Bullet Weight | 230 grains |
| Bullet Style | Round Nose |
| Cavity Count | 6 |
| Mould Material | Aluminum |
| Sprue Plate | Cam-operated, hard-anodized |
| Handles | Sold separately |
Yes. This mould comes without handles. You'll need to source Lee handles separately and attach them to the mould block to complete the setup.
This .452" 230-grain round-nose bullet is suitable for large-bore handgun cartridges that use .452" diameter projectiles. Check your specific cartridge's reloading manual for compatibility and load data.
With six cavities, you'll cast six bullets per pour, depending on your pouring technique and casting system.
As long as your casting system accommodates standard Lee moulds and you have handles to attach, this mould will work with your equipment. Verify that your casting furnace and ladle are compatible with the mould block dimensions.
