Lee Precisiom
The Lee Precision 90586 powder through expanding die for 45 Colt and 454 Casull brings efficiency and convenience to your handgun reloading bench. If you reload large-bore revolver cartridges and want to speed up the case preparation process, this die does double duty in a single station: it expands the case mouth while simultaneously charging it with powder. That means fewer die stations, fewer operations, and more rounds ready for priming and bullet seating in less time.
Powder through expanding dies are a smart choice for high-volume handloaders who've already standardized their powder measure workflow. This die works in tandem with either a powder funnel adapter or with Lee's Auto Disk or Pro Auto Disk powder measures, so it integrates seamlessly into whatever powder delivery system you're already using. The dual function cuts your total setup and station count, which translates to faster, more streamlined reloading sessions without sacrificing precision.
Lee Precision tools are built for serious reloaders who value dependability and value without fuss. Whether you're prepping brass for target loads, hunting rounds, or developing new handloads, this expanding die handles the heavy lifting on two fronts. Pair it with your existing Lee press and powder measure, and you'll get consistent case mouth expansion and powder charges in one smooth stroke.
| Product | Lee Precision 90586 Powder Through Expanding Die |
| Caliber | 45 Colt (LC) / 454 Casull |
| Function | Powder charging and case mouth expansion |
| Compatible Powder Measures | Powder funnel adapter, Auto Disk, Pro Auto Disk |
The Lee 90586 is designed to work with a powder funnel adapter or with Lee's Auto Disk or Pro Auto Disk powder measures. Check your powder measure model to confirm compatibility before ordering.
Yes, this die is sized for both 45 Colt (LC) and 454 Casull cartridges, so you can reload either caliber with the same die.
This expanding die will handle case expansion and powder charging, but you'll still need a reloading press, a sizing die, a decapping/priming station, and a bullet seating die to complete your handloading process.
By combining case mouth expansion and powder charging in one station and one stroke, you eliminate a separate die station and operation. This reduces your total setup time and the number of times you need to raise and lower the press.
