Lee Precisiom
The Lee Precision 6mm Creedmoor full length sizing die is built for reloaders who need to prepare brass for any rifle in that caliber. Unlike neck-sizing dies that work only the neck of the case, a full length sizing die restores fired brass to factory dimensions by resizing both the neck and the case body. This matters because when you fire a round, the brass expands to fit your chamber, and while it contracts afterward, it rarely returns to original spec. The full length die removes those variances and any bulges or irregularities left by firing, returning cases to the right headspace for reliable feeding and performance across different rifles in 6mm Creedmoor.
Setting up this die takes patience but isn't complicated. You'll clean your fired cases, zero your comparator with a fired case, then install the die and adjust it gradually until it bumps the shoulder back by 0.001 inch—the sweet spot for most reloading. Once locked in, you'll lubricate your cases and start sizing. Every ten rounds or so, check that shoulder bump and dial in the die if it drifts. The goal is to work the brass smartly without overworking it, which can lead to case head separation down the road.
This die-only setup lets you integrate it into whatever press and tooling you already own, whether you're building loads for hunting or precision rifle. It's the kind of straightforward, practical tool that Lee Precision has built its reputation on—no frills, honest engineering, and the flexibility to fit your workflow.
| Product Type | Full Length Sizing Die |
| Caliber | 6mm Creedmoor |
| Brand | Lee Precision |
| Configuration | Die Only |
A full length sizing die resizes the entire case—neck and body—to factory dimensions, making the brass compatible with any rifle in that caliber. Neck-sizing dies work only the neck. Full length sizing is more versatile and is the standard choice for most reloaders, especially if you might load for multiple rifles or trade brass with other shooters.
This is a die only, so it will work with any reloading press that accepts standard die threads. You'll need a compatible press and your existing reloading setup to use it.
Check your shoulder bump every ten cases or so. If it's drifting, adjust the die to maintain that 0.001 inch shoulder bump. Regular checks prevent inconsistency and help you catch any drift early.
The shoulder bump sets headspace and ensures your cases feed reliably in your chamber. A 0.001 inch bump is standard and gives you a safety margin without over-working the brass. Proper bump also extends case life by reducing unnecessary work-hardening.
