Lee Precisiom
The Lee Precision 45 ACP 3-Die Classic Turret Press Kit is a workhorse single-stage turret press built for serious handloaders who want smooth, reliable operation without compromise. If you're loading .45 ACP ammunition and want a press that rewards you with effortless cycling and bulletproof durability, this kit delivers the cast-iron construction and proven design that have made Lee presses a standard in reloading rooms for decades. The Classic Turret combines the solid steel linkage of Lee's legendary Classic Cast design with the convenience of a quick-change turret system—no fiddling with dies between rounds.
What sets this press apart is its engineering. The rigid cast iron frame supports the ram across over 12 square inches of bearing area, translating to the kind of smooth, "silky" stroke that makes every cycle feel controlled and precise. The hardwood-grip lever is a small detail that speaks to build quality. The industry-leading ram diameter is drilled completely through, which means primers are reliably caught and dispensed into an attached clear PVC tube—no fumbling, no spillage, guaranteed. For .45 ACP work, this is exactly the kind of thoughtful design that saves time and frustration over thousands of rounds.
The kit includes three dies sized for .45 ACP and works with Lee's Lever Primer System (LPS) and Safety Prime tool, bringing priming into the press workflow rather than treating it as a separate chore. The four-hole turrets are the same instant-change design found on Lee's premium Turret Press, so switching between calibers or die configurations takes seconds. The automatic indexing moves you to the next station smoothly, and if you need to load longer cases, simply deactivate the auto-index feature to work at your own pace.
This is not a fancy press, and that's the point. It's cast iron, hardwood, and steel—the same formula that built Lee's reputation. Whether you're a new handloader settling into .45 ACP or an experienced reloader looking for a dedicated pistol press, the Classic Turret Press offers the kind of reliable, no-nonsense performance that keeps people coming back.
