The Lee 90035Pro 1000 Reloading Press Kit for .38 Auto/.38 Super is a cast iron progressive reloading press built for shooters who load pistol ammunition in volume. If you're serious about keeping .38 ACP or .38 Super rounds on the bench at a fraction of factory cost, a progressive press like this one handles the repetitive work—seating, resizing, and priming in one compact setup. Lee Precision has been the go-to for budget-conscious reloaders for decades, and this kit bundles the press with the essentials you need to get started.
Progressive presses appeal to handloaders who shoot enough to justify the learning curve. Unlike single-stage presses, the 1000 series moves a round through multiple stations in one pull of the handle, speeding up production once you've dialed in your technique and loads. Cast iron construction means durability and heft—the press stays planted on your bench and handles years of use without complaint.
This kit is designed specifically for .38 Auto and .38 Super, so compatibility is straightforward if those are your primary pistol rounds. Whether you're a competitive shooter chasing precision or a regular range-goer looking to stretch your ammunition budget, a quality progressive press justifies itself quickly. Lee's reputation rests on delivering solid reloading equipment without the premium markup of other brands.

Yes. The 90035Pro 1000 is configured specifically for .38 Auto (also called .38 ACP) and .38 Super. It is not suitable for other calibers without additional dies and components.
A progressive press like this one completes multiple reloading steps—resizing, priming, seating, and crimping—in a single pull of the handle. This dramatically speeds up production once you're familiar with the machine, making it ideal for shooters who load large volumes of ammunition regularly.
Cast iron provides the mass and stability your press needs to stay anchored to the bench during heavy use. It's durable, resists wear, and is the standard for quality presses across the industry—a sign that Lee is engineering for longevity, not cutting corners.
