Lead & Steel Llc
The Lead & Steel LLC LS9mm8.3-28 AR9 barrel is a short, handy 8.30-inch nitride-finished barrel built for 9mm AR pistols and short-barreled rifles. If you're running an AR9 platform and want a compact, durable barrel for close-quarters work, home defense, or the range, this is a solid choice—straightforward engineering from a manufacturer focused on AR9 components.
The 8.30-inch length keeps your overall build compact without sacrificing too much velocity from 9mm. The 1/2-inch by 28 thread pitch is the standard muzzle attachment point for 9mm AR platforms, so it'll accept common muzzle brakes, compensators, and suppressors designed for that pattern. Nitride finishing on the bore and exterior gives you a hardened, corrosion-resistant surface that stands up to regular use and cleaning.
This barrel is a straightforward replacement component—no frills, no marketing noise, just the barrel itself. Fit and function depend on your upper receiver and the quality of your assembly, so if you're a first-time builder, take time to ensure proper headspacing and torque specs. Whether you're upgrading an existing AR9 or starting a compact build, this is the kind of no-nonsense component that just works.
| Barrel Length | 8.30 inches |
| Caliber | 9mm |
| Muzzle Thread | 1/2-inch x 28 TPI |
| Finish | Nitride |
| Platform | AR9 |
This is a standard AR9 barrel with a 1/2-inch by 28 threaded muzzle. It will fit any AR9 upper receiver that accepts barrels with that thread pitch. Always verify proper headspacing and correct torque values when installing a new barrel.
The 1/2-inch by 28 thread is the standard for 9mm AR platforms, so you can use any muzzle brake, compensator, flash hider, or suppressor rated for that pitch. Check compatibility with your specific device before purchase.
At 8.30 inches, this barrel is suitable for both AR9 pistol builds and short-barreled rifles (SBRs). Your local and federal laws determine what configuration is legal for your jurisdiction, so verify your build intent and any NFA requirements before assembly.
The barrel is sold as a standalone component. It does not include a complete upper assembly, gas tube, bcg, or other parts—just the barrel itself.
