The LBE Unlimited ARCW556 crush washer for AR-15 is a straightforward, reliable component for builders and gunsmiths working with 5.56x45mm NATO chambered rifles. If you're headspacing a barrel or need to dial in muzzle device timing, a quality crush washer takes the guesswork out of the job. This black-finished washer is designed to work with AR-15 platforms and handles the task without fuss — just install it between your barrel extension and muzzle device, torque to spec, and let the crush washer's deformation set your headspace. It's the kind of small part that makes a real difference in a tight build.
Crush washers are a field-proven alternative to shims for achieving proper barrel timing and headspace on AR-pattern rifles. Unlike adjustable systems, they're one-and-done: once crushed during installation, they lock everything in place permanently. For shooters and builders who want a solid, repeatable method without overthinking it, this is a no-nonsense option.
The ARCW556 is finished in black to match typical AR components, and it's sized for the standard AR-15 platform. Keep a spare or two in your parts bin—they're inexpensive insurance against timing problems on your next build or repair.
A crush washer sits between your barrel extension and muzzle device. When you torque the device down, the washer crushes and deforms, absorbing the rotation and setting your barrel timing and headspace in one step. It's a proven method that eliminates guesswork and delivers consistent results.
This crusher washer is designed for standard AR-15 platforms chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. Verify compatibility with your specific barrel extension before purchase if you're using a non-standard setup.
No. Once crushed during installation, the washer has served its purpose. For future builds or muzzle device changes, use a fresh washer.
