The LaserMax LMSG42 is a guide rod laser designed as a drop-in replacement for the Glock 42's factory spring guide assembly, turning your compact carry gun into a laser-equipped sidearm without a trip to the gunsmith. This 5mW red laser (650nM wavelength) mounts inside the frame where the guide rod goes, delivering an aiming point closer to the bore than traditional rail-mounted lasers—a real advantage when you need quick, intuitive sight picture in low light or high-stress situations. Install it yourself with tools you already have; no special equipment or gunsmithing required.

Built from stainless steel and precision internal components, the LMSG42 is engineered for the durability demands of daily carry. The laser is factory-aligned to your Glock 42's ballistics, so you get guaranteed point-of-aim/point-of-impact accuracy straight out of the box. An ambidextrous ON/OFF switch keeps safe handling intuitive whether you carry strong-side or southpaw, and the activation is purposefully distinct so you know exactly when the laser is hot.

Flexibility is built in: toggle between steady and pulsing beam modes depending on light conditions and your preference—pulsing mode helps your target spot the dot in bright daylight. The internal design is compact enough that it won't interfere with your choice of holster or grip, so your carry setup stays exactly as you like it. If you run a Glock 42 and want a reliable, low-profile laser that actually improves your presentation, this is the kind of upgrade that sticks.
