L.E. Wilson
The L.E. Wilson S/S bullet seater die with micrometer adjustment gives 284 Winchester and Norma reloaders a precise, repeatable way to seat bullets to exact depths. Built from stainless steel and designed for use with an arbor press, this die combines durability with the fine control that serious handloaders need—especially those chasing tighter groups or working up loads for long-range hunting and competition. The micrometer top lets you dial in bullet seating depth in 0.001-inch increments, and the threaded cap secures major adjustments so your setup stays locked between rounds.
What sets an arbor seater like this apart from standard bullet-seating dies is flexibility. You can load rounds long, then take the die and press to the range to test actual seating depth in your rifle before committing to a full batch. That means fewer trips back to the bench and more time validating loads where it matters. For handloaders working with 284 Winchester or similar Norma cartridges, this precision tool removes guesswork and helps you achieve the consistency that separates good loads from great ones.
L.E. Wilson has earned respect in the reloading community for building dies that hold tolerances and last through years of use. This micrometer bullet seater is no exception—the stainless construction resists corrosion, and the mechanics are straightforward enough that you'll spend less time fiddling with the die and more time at the bench or range.
| Caliber | 284 Winchester / Norma |
| Type | Bullet Seater Die (Arbor Press) |
| Material | Stainless Steel |
| Adjustment | Micrometer (0.001-inch increments) |
| Manufacturer | L.E. Wilson |
This is an arbor seater die, which means it is designed for use with a separate arbor press—not a standard reloading press like a Lee, RCBS, or Hornady single-stage or progressive. An arbor press is a hand-operated or lever-actuated tool that applies downward force to seat bullets safely and with controlled pressure.
This die is specifically configured for 284 Winchester and Norma cartridges. Do not attempt to use it for other calibers, as the internal dimensions and fit are caliber-specific.
Because the micrometer die lets you adjust seating depth and the arbor press is portable, you can load a few rounds long (further out), bring the die and press to the range, and test actual seating depth in your rifle. This eliminates multiple bench-to-range cycles and helps you find the optimal seating depth without wasting components or time.
The product is the bullet seater die itself. You will need a separate arbor press to operate it. Ensure your arbor press is suitable for 284 Winchester components.
