L.E. Wilson
The L.E. Wilson 6.5x55mm Swede bushing neck sizing die is built for handloaders who want control over how much neck sizing their brass receives—and who care enough about brass longevity and concentricity to do it right. This die uses interchangeable sizing bushings to work the outside of the case neck, which means you can swap bushings to dial in exactly the amount of sizing your brass needs for your rifle's chamber. That level of precision is why match shooters and serious hunters reach for L.E. Wilson gear.
The design eliminates the conventional expander, which improves case neck concentricity and extends the life of your brass—a real advantage if you reload the same brass multiple times. The die sizes the neck to 3/16" from the mouth end, following the preference of many precision reloaders. A decapping rod is included, so you're ready to process fired brass once you mount the die in an arbor press. Note that the die base is sold separately, and you'll need to source your own sizing bushings.
If you're working with 6.5x55mm Swede ammunition and you're already invested in neck-sizing methodology, or you're moving toward it, this Wilson die fills that niche. It's the kind of tool that justifies itself over dozens of reload cycles through better case life and more consistent neck tension, especially on brass you've already fired and want to keep in rotation.
| Cartridge | 6.5x55mm Swede |
| Die Type | Bushing Neck Sizing Die |
| Sizing Method | Interchangeable bushings (outside neck sizing) |
| Neck Sizing Depth | 3/16" from mouth end |
| Accessories Included | Decapping rod |
| Press Type Required | Arbor press |
Bushing neck sizing controls only the diameter of the case neck and eliminates the conventional expander, which improves concentricity and reduces work-hardening of the brass. Many reloaders find they can reload the same brass more times before it becomes unsafe, and they achieve tighter ammunition tolerances—especially useful for precision rifle applications.
No, bushings are not included with this die. You'll need to purchase them separately to match your specific chamber and brass.
The die base is sold separately. You'll need to order it in addition to this die.
This die is designed for use with an arbor press, not a standard single-stage reloading press.
