L.E. Wilson
The L.E. Wilson 6.5mm stainless micrometer top seater die blank is a precision reloading component built for handloaders who demand repeatable bullet seating depth and absolute consistency shot after shot. Unlike standard seating dies, Wilson's micrometer-adjusted design captures both the bullet and cartridge case before seating, ensuring the bullet travels straight into the case with no wobble or misalignment. This superior mechanical control translates directly to tighter case-to-case consistency and more predictable ballistics downrange—especially valuable when you're chasing accuracy on the bench or in the field.
The stainless steel construction resists corrosion and wear, and the built-in micrometer adjustment feature lets you dial in seating depth in precise .001-inch increments with an easy-to-read scale. This die blank is engineered for custom gunsmithing and wildcat cartridge applications, allowing you to specify exact dimensions for your particular reloading needs or non-standard calibers. You'll need an arbor press to operate it—a standard tool in any serious reloading setup.
If you're building custom loads for precision rifle work, wildcats, or competition shooting, a Wilson micrometer seater gives you the mechanical advantage of controlled case and bullet alignment that conventional dies simply can't match. The stainless finish means this tool will stay reliable for decades of use.
| Caliber | 6.5mm |
| Type | Micrometer Top Seater Die Blank |
| Material | Stainless Steel |
| Adjustment Graduations | .001 inches |
| Press Type Required | Arbor Press |
You'll need an arbor press to operate the L.E. Wilson micrometer seater die. This is the standard setup for precision seating dies of this type.
Yes. The die blank design is specifically intended for custom gunsmiths and handloaders working with exact dimensions or non-standard wildcat cartridges. You can specify the exact specifications you need.
The Wilson micrometer design captures both the bullet and case before seating, ensuring straight alignment and more repeatable seating depth. This mechanical control produces greater consistency than conventional 7/8"-14 seating dies, which is especially important for precision and competition reloading.
A die blank is an unfinished component that allows you to specify custom dimensions. You work with a gunsmith or custom die maker to have it finished to your exact specifications for your particular cartridge or wildcat.
