KNIGHTS MFG COMPANY
The Knights Armament 99051TAU is a taupe folding front sight built to the standards that made Knights Armament a go-to name among AR and M4 rifle shooters. This is the real deal—the same sight configuration that proved itself in the original SOPMOD program. If you're running an AR platform rifle and want a front sight that folds flat when you're running optics but deploys instantly when you need it, this is the kind of sight that works reliably in the field without the marketing noise.
The 99051TAU mounts directly to the MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail on your upper receiver, integrating seamlessly with standard-height rear sights. The folding design lets you co-witness or use your optic without obstruction, then flip it up if your primary goes down or you need iron backup. Taupe coloring keeps things subtle without the unnecessary "tactical" aesthetic—it just blends in and does its job.
Knights Armament built this sight for shooters who treat their guns as tools, not showpieces. Whether you're zeroing a new build, running a duty rifle, or keeping a backup sight option on your hunting AR, the 99051TAU delivers the durability and precision you expect from a brand with genuine military service history. It's the kind of sight you install once and forget about—because it works.
Yes. The 99051TAU mounts to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail on an AR or M4 upper receiver and is compatible with standard-height rear sights.
Yes. The folding design allows the sight to fold flat when you're running a scope, red dot, or other optic, then deploy for backup iron sighting if needed.
The Knights Armament 99051TAU is built to the original SOPMOD program specifications—the configuration that proved itself in professional military use. It's about proven reliability and precision rather than features.
