Knights Armament
The Knights Armament 7.62mm QDC Open Brake Kit is a precision muzzle device engineered as the primary mounting interface for KAC 7.62mm QDC suppressors. If you're running a suppressed 7.62 rifle and want a rock-solid, repeatable connection between your can and barrel, this brake delivers the quick-disconnect functionality that KAC's QDC system is built around. It threads directly onto your barrel and provides the attachment point your suppressor needs—while also doing the hard work of protecting your suppressor's first baffle from wear, which extends the life of your can significantly.
Built to KAC's exacting standards, the open-brake design keeps weight minimal and directionality simple. Whether you're shooting suppressed precision rifle at the range, running a hunting rig, or deploying a tactical setup, this brake ensures your suppressor stays put and performs as designed. The QDC system's main strength is repeatability—your can indexes the same way every time you mount it, which matters when you're chasing consistency downrange.
If you already own a KAC QDC suppressor or are planning to build a system around one, this brake is the foundation piece. It's not a standalone muzzle brake for unsuppressed shooting—it exists to make the QDC mounting system work cleanly and protect your investment in a quality can.
