Kleen-Bore
The KleenBore K211 Classic Cleaning Kit for .22 Caliber Handguns is a complete, no-guesswork solution for keeping your rimfire handgun clean and running smoothly. Whether you're new to gun ownership or you've been shooting for years, this kit bundles all the core tools and supplies you need in one compact package—no hunting through drawers for missing brushes or solvents.
Rimfire firearms are reliable workhorses, but they do foul. Powder residue and lead buildup accumulate in the barrel and action, and if left unchecked, they'll slow your trigger press and affect accuracy. Regular cleaning keeps your .22 handgun functioning as designed. This kit gives you the essentials: a rigid steel cleaning rod with a swivel handle to reduce bind and scratching, rod extensions to reach longer barrels, phosphor bronze and nylon brushes for different fouling types, a patch holder for solvent application, and a muzzle guard to protect your front sight. KleenBore includes a 2 oz bottle of BreakFree CLP—a proven multipurpose lubricant and protectant—and cotton patches to finish the job.
The 6.5-inch rigid black steel rod is the backbone here; it's designed to be strong enough to scrub without flexing (flex causes wear on bore walls) and the swivel handle reduces the stress on your barrel during the scrubbing stroke. The rod is threaded for standard #8-32 accessories, and the extension lets you clean barrels up to 8 inches without wrestling with a rod that's too short or too bendy. For most .22 handguns, you'll be in business right out of the box.
This is the kind of kit experienced shooters recommend to friends and the kind new gun owners should grab before their first range trip. Keep it in your range bag or safe—when cleaning day comes, you'll have everything there.

The K211 includes a cleaning rod with swivel handle, rod extension, phosphor bronze and nylon brushes, patch holder, muzzle guard, 2 oz of BreakFree CLP solvent, and cotton patches. This is a complete kit—you won't need to buy any of the core components. Additional cleaning solvents or patches can extend the life of the kit, but you can get started with what's in the box.
Yes. The rod is threaded #8-32 and includes an extension that allows you to clean barrels up to 8 inches in total length. If your .22 handgun barrel is longer than 8 inches, you'll need additional extensions or a longer rod.
The phosphor bronze bore brush is the workhorse for scrubbing lead and carbon fouling from the barrel itself. The double-end nylon bristle gun brush is softer and gentler, useful for cleaning the exterior frame, action, and other parts where you want to remove dirt without scratching the finish.
