Kershaw
The Kershaw Bel Air XL EMT is a 3.25-inch folding knife purpose-built for first responders, medics, and anyone who needs a reliable blade when seconds count. Made in the USA, this emergency-focused folder combines practical blade design with proven one-handed deployment, making it equally at home on a rescue call, in a vehicle emergency kit, or clipped to everyday carry gear.
What sets the Bel Air XL EMT apart is its deliberately blunt tip—a safety-first feature that cuts through seatbelts, clothing, and other materials without the risk of puncturing a patient or bystander. The carbide glassbreaker integrated into the handle eliminates the need for a separate tool when rapid window entry is required. The blade itself is partially serrated and finished in BlackWash, a durable dark coating that resists corrosion and glare while looking tactical and professional.
Performance comes from MagnaCut stainless steel, chosen for edge retention that holds up through repeated cutting tasks. The KVT ball-bearing mechanism and thumb stud enable smooth, dependable one-handed opening—critical when your other hand is occupied. The DuraLock safety system keeps the blade locked securely until you're ready to close it. Textured G10 scales provide a solid, non-slip grip even in wet conditions or when wearing gloves, and the reversible deep-carry pocket clip fits left or right hand carry.
Whether you're equipping a duty bag, stocking a vehicle, or looking for a fixed-purpose emergency knife you can trust, the Bel Air XL EMT delivers function over flash—exactly what first responders and outdoor professionals expect from Kershaw.
