Kershaw
The Kershaw 6044TBLK CQC-8K is a purpose-built folding knife that brings together Kershaw's manufacturing precision and Emerson Knives' combat-tested functional design. If you carry a knife for work, self-defense, or everyday tasks, the CQC-8K delivers the kind of reliable blade deployment you need when seconds count. The 3.5-inch tanto blade features a single-bevel grind that holds an exceptional edge, while the black oxide coating resists corrosion and eliminates glint—qualities that appeal to users in tactical, rescue, and field-work roles.
What sets the CQC-8K apart is its opening system. Beyond the traditional thumb disk, the knife features Emerson's signature wave-shaped opener: a small tab on the blade spine that catches your pocket seam as you draw the knife, deploying the blade automatically during the withdrawal stroke. By the time the knife clears your pocket, it's ready to work. This instant-opening capability is why military and law enforcement professionals favor this design. For those who prefer manual control, the thumb disk opens the blade smoothly and reliably.
The G10 handle scales provide a secure, textured grip that works in wet conditions and demanding environments. A robust liner lock keeps the blade locked solidly in the open position, and the reversible pocket clip accommodates both left- and right-handed carry, tip-up orientation. A lanyard hole rounds out the practical feature set, letting you secure the knife to gear or a belt loop if needed. This is the kind of knife that earns trust through consistent performance, not marketing hype.
