The Kershaw Blur 1670BLK is a tough, everyday folding knife built for hunters, outdoors people, and anyone who needs a reliable blade on the job site or trail. This is one of the original designs that put the Blur on the map—a no-nonsense folder with a 3.4-inch blade that handles slicing, piercing, and general camp tasks with equal authority. The slightly curved edge geometry gives you both control and bite, whether you're processing game, cutting rope, or tackling routine cutting chores in the field.

The 14C28N stainless steel blade comes finished with a black DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating that hardens the edge, resists corrosion, and gives the knife a purpose-built appearance. The handle is anodized 6061-T6 aluminum—the same material used in aircraft construction—so you're getting genuine durability without unnecessary weight. Kershaw added Trac-Tec grip-tape handle inserts to ensure your hold stays firm even in wet or gloved conditions, and the inset liner lock keeps the blade secure when it's deployed.

One-handed opening is handled by SpeedSafe assisted opening: a quick push on the thumb stud fires the blade out smoothly and reliably. The reversible pocket clip lets you carry tip-up or tip-down depending on your preference, and a pre-drilled lanyard hole is there if you want extra insurance against loss. This is a folder that works as hard as you do.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Blur 1670BLK a true one-handed knife?

Yes. The SpeedSafe assisted opening lets you deploy the blade with a single thumb stud press, and the inset liner lock holds the blade open safely during use. The reversible pocket clip positions the knife for easy access from your pocket.

What's the blade edge geometry like for hunting or field tasks?

The blade features a slightly recurved edge—a slight curve that enhances both slicing and piercing. This geometry makes it versatile for camp chores, processing game, and general cutting tasks where you need control and bite.

Will this knife hold up to wet or muddy conditions?

The 14C28N stainless steel resists corrosion, and the black DLC coating adds another layer of protection. The Trac-Tec grip-tape handle inserts ensure you keep a firm grip even when wet or wearing gloves, so yes—it's built for real conditions.

Can I customize how I carry this knife?

The pocket clip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry, and the knife has a pre-drilled lanyard hole if you want to attach it to a cord or keychain for added security.
