The Kel-Tec Sub2000 in 5.7x28mm is a purpose-built modern sporting rifle that punches well above its weight class in versatility and portability. Chambered in the flat-shooting, low-recoil 5.7x28mm cartridge, this rifle delivers accurate, manageable performance whether you're at the range, in the field, or keeping a truck gun ready. The straightforward blowback design keeps maintenance simple and reliability high—no unnecessary complexity, just a rifle that works when you need it.

What sets the Sub2000 apart is its ability to fold nearly in half. At just over 16 inches folded, it transforms from a full rifle into something stowable in a backpack, truck bed, or safe without sacrificing the usable 16.15-inch barrel or the manners of a rifle platform. The lightweight polymer frame keeps total weight under 4.4 pounds unloaded, making it easy to carry all day without fatigue. The 20-round magazine capacity means you're not constantly reloading, and the 1:7 twist rate keeps rounds stable across a range of bullet weights in that caliber.

The rifle ships ready for customization with integrated M-LOK slots and Picatinny rails, so mounting optics, lights, or other gear is straightforward. The 5-pound trigger breaks clean and predictably. Whether you're new to 5.7x28mm or you're already invested in that cartridge and ammunition, the Sub2000 offers a compact, maneuverable platform that doesn't ask you to compromise on shootability or modularity.
