Kak Industry
The KAK Plan B Big Hole muzzle brake is a 5/8x24-threaded brake built for shooters running suppressor systems that use Plan B adapter hubs. This is KAK Industry's answer to the repeatable, predictable lockup problem: the tapered shoulder and threads work together to create a consistent seal between brake and suppressor adapter, which matters if you're swapping suppressors or need confidence in how your setup will perform downrange. It's machined in-house by KAK, made from 17-4 stainless steel with a nitride finish, and designed to handle centerfire rifle calibers with that .375" bore diameter.
If you're building or upgrading an AR-15, bolt gun, or other rifle in a caliber that calls for a 5/8x24 thread pitch, and you're committed to a Plan B suppressor ecosystem, this brake cuts through the compatibility guesswork. The milled flats make installation straightforward—you can index it and wrench it down without guessing or jury-rigging. Just remember that some suppressor manufacturers will void coverage if you pair their cans with aftermarket brakes, so confirm your suppressor's specs before you commit.
Installation is straightforward: apply Rocksett to the threads, torque to 20–25 ft-lbs, and you're done. The big-hole design lets you run full-bore, so you won't lose velocity to artificial backpressure. This is a no-frills, fit-and-function piece of gear—built by a shop that machines everything in-house and doesn't cut corners on materials or finish.
| Thread Pitch | 5/8x24 |
| Bore Diameter | .375" |
| Overall Length | 1.850" |
| Material | 17-4 Stainless Steel |
| Finish | Nitride |
| Flat Width | 13/16" |
| Manufacturer | KAK Industry (fully machined in-house) |
The Plan B muzzle brake is optimized for use with Plan B suppressor hubs. Some suppressor manufacturers will not honor warranty claims if their cans are used with aftermarket brakes from other brands, so verify your suppressor's compatibility before installation to avoid coverage issues.
Install with Rocksett applied to the threads and torque to 20–25 ft-lbs. The milled flats provide purchase for a wrench, making the job straightforward and repeatable.
The KAK Plan B has a 5/8x24 thread pitch and .375" bore diameter. Confirm your rifle's muzzle thread specification before ordering—this is a common pitch on AR-15s, bolt-action rifles, and other modern centerfire platforms, but not all rifles use it.
The brake is 17-4 stainless steel with a nitride finish. Both the material and finish are chosen for corrosion resistance and durability in field conditions. KAK machines the entire brake in-house, which maintains tight tolerances and finish consistency.
