The Kak Industry Comp-556 Compensator is a 1/2x28 muzzle device designed to help manage recoil and muzzle rise on .556 NATO AR-platform rifles. Built by Kak Industry—an American manufacturer focused on delivering quality components at practical prices—this compensator uses a straightforward design to redirect gases and help keep your rifle stable during rapid fire or follow-up shots. It's a no-frills choice for shooters who want effective recoil management without premium pricing.

Machined from a solid steel body, the Comp-556 features heat-treated construction and a phosphate coating for durability in the field. The milled flat design makes it straightforward to install on any 1/2x28 threaded barrel—a standard pitch on most modern .556 rifles. Because this is a direct-thread device, proper barrel threading is essential; confirm your barrel's pitch before ordering. Note that a crush washer is not included, so you may need to source one separately if your installation method calls for it.

Whether you're running a home-built AR, a precision rifle, or a patrol carbine, the Comp-556 gives you a straightforward way to manage muzzle impulse and keep your sight picture steady. It's the kind of practical addition that serious shooters appreciate—no gimmicks, just American-made steel engineered to do the job.
