The IWI Masada 9mm is a modern striker-fired pistol built for shooters who want a reliable, ergonomic platform without compromise. Engineered by Israeli Weapons Industries—a manufacturer with a pedigree in military and law enforcement firearms—the Masada brings battle-tested design principles to a polymer frame that's designed for durability in harsh conditions. With its low barrel axis, fully ambidextrous controls, and optics-ready slide, the Masada is equally at home on the range, in competition, or as a duty carry option.
What sets the Masada apart is its obsessive attention to ergonomics. The frame features three interchangeable wraparound backstraps (small, medium, large) and a deep beavertail that lets you dial in a natural, instinctive grip angle regardless of hand size. The trigger guard is oversized for gloved use, and the grip texture is aggressively textured to reduce slippage during rapid fire. The striker-fired trigger breaks clean and crisp at 6 pounds with a positive reset and built-in trigger safety—everything you need for accuracy without the fussiness of a manual safety if you don't want one.
The Masada comes optics-ready with four adapter plates already included. It's designed to accept Trijicon RMR, Vortex Venom, Leupold Delta Point Pro, and Sig Romeo1 optics—simply mount your choice directly to the slide. The pistol also ships with fixed 3-dot iron sights and a Picatinny rail under the barrel for lights or lasers. The 4.1-inch cold hammer-forged polygonal barrel strikes a balance between control and concealability, while the 10-round steel magazine feeds reliably. At just 1.43 pounds, it's light enough for all-day carry but substantial enough to manage recoil.
This is a no-nonsense 9mm from a maker that doesn't cut corners. If you're looking for a modern, fully ambidextrous striker-fired pistol with solid ergonomics and factory optics mounting, the Masada deserves a close look.
