Hornady
The Hornady Shot Charge Bushing #8 is a precision reloading accessory designed for shotshell loaders who need consistent, reliable shot charges. This bushing meters exactly 1 1/8 oz of shot per cycle—a standard load for many hunting and sport shooting applications. Whether you're loading upland game rounds, clay target loads, or other shotgun ammunition, a dedicated shot bushing eliminates guesswork and keeps your production steady and safe.
Hornady's shot charge bushings are engineered to work with compatible progressive and single-stage shotshell presses, giving you the repeatability that matters when you're processing hundreds of rounds. The #8 designation refers to the specific shot volume it's calibrated to dispense, so you know exactly what you're getting with every pull of the handle. For reloaders who've standardized on the 1 1/8 oz load, swapping in the right bushing takes seconds and locks in precision from round to round.
If you're building a reloading setup or replacing a worn bushing, verify compatibility with your press model before ordering. Keep a spare on hand so you can switch between load weights without downtime on your bench.
