Hornady
The Hornady Custom 454 Casull 240 Grain XTP JHP is purpose-built handgun ammo for hunters and shooters who demand serious stopping power from their big-bore revolvers. This is centerfire ammunition engineered around Hornady's proven XTP (eXtreme Terminal Performance) jacketed hollow point bullet—a design trusted by hunters pursuing large game and those who rely on their firearms for personal defense. Each round pairs consistent powder charges with quality primers to deliver reliable performance shot after shot.
The 240-grain XTP bullet at 454 Casull velocities is designed to expand reliably while maintaining deep penetration through heavy muscle and bone. That controlled expansion—typically between 1 and 1.5 times the original diameter—creates a wound channel that stops game effectively. If you're hunting hogs, elk, or other tough game with a 454 revolver, or you simply want ammunition you can count on for critical shots, this is the kind of load that justifies your confidence in your gun.
Hornady's manufacturing standards mean you get consistent case prep, uniform loading, and quality control that shows up in the field. A 20-round box gives you a practical quantity for hunting trips, range testing, or defense practice. Whether you're working with a Ruger Super Blackhawk, Freedom Arms, or another 454-chambered revolver, this ammunition delivers the performance hunters and serious shooters have relied on for years.
