The Hornady Custom 25 ACP 35 Grain XTP JHP ammo is purpose-built for shooters who rely on this compact cartridge for personal defense and target practice. Each box of 25 rounds pairs Hornady's proven XTP (eXtreme Terminal Performance) hollow-point bullet with carefully matched brass, powder, and primers to deliver consistent performance you can count on—shot after shot.

Hornady manufactures most of the brass for their Custom line in-house, selecting and producing it to strict standards for reliable feeding, corrosion resistance, and the durability to handle maximum chamber pressures. The powder charge is dialed in to achieve optimal pressure and velocity while maintaining lot-to-lot consistency, and the primers are chosen specifically to match the powder and load for quick, dependable ignition. This attention to component matching is what separates Hornady Custom ammo from off-the-shelf bulk rounds.

The XTP bullet is engineered for controlled expansion and reliable performance in 25 ACP barrel lengths, making this load a practical choice whether you're zeroing in at the range or carrying for self-defense. If you shoot a pocket pistol or a vintage 25 auto and want ammunition that functions reliably and performs consistently, Hornady Custom offers the quality and precision reloaders and shooters have trusted for decades.

Frequently Asked Questions

What firearms does Hornady Custom 25 ACP ammo work in?

This ammunition is loaded for standard 25 ACP handguns. Always verify caliber markings on your firearm and consult your owner's manual before loading any ammunition.

What's the difference between XTP and other bullet designs?

The XTP (Extreme Terminal Performance) is Hornady's hollow-point design engineered for controlled expansion. In this 25 ACP load, it's optimized for the velocities and barrel lengths typical of pocket pistols in this caliber.

Is Hornady Custom ammo good for both range shooting and defense?

Yes. The consistent performance and reliable feeding of Hornady Custom ammo makes it suitable for practice at the range as well as for carry. The XTP bullet is designed to perform in real-world scenarios.

Why does Hornady make its own brass?

Manufacturing brass in-house allows Hornady to control quality at every stage—ensuring proper hardness, corrosion resistance, and the ability to reliably feed and withstand chamber pressures. This is part of why their Custom line is known for consistency.
