Reloading 454 Casull means working with a cartridge that demands precision at every step — and that starts with quality brass. Hornady 8785 unprimed brass cases for 454 Casull handgun reloading give you the foundation to build accurate, consistent loads. This 50-count pack of unprimed cases is designed for handloaders who understand that the case itself matters as much as the powder, primer, and bullet.
Hornady manufactures these cases to extremely tight tolerances, prioritizing uniform case wall thickness and concentricity — two traits that benchrest and serious handloaders have relied on for decades. Tight wall concentricity helps ensure proper bullet seating in both the case and chamber, which translates to uniform bullet release on firing and more predictable velocity and accuracy. Uniform wall thickness means consistent internal capacity, so your powder charges, pressures, and velocities stay stable from round to round, lot to lot.
Unlike commodity brass treated as a throwaway component, Hornady builds these cases for longevity. You'll get more reloads per case, which means better value over time and less frequent need to replace your brass supply. Every case in this box is virtually identical to the next — the consistency you need whether you're loading for hunting, competition, or recreational shooting with a 454 Casull revolver.

Yes. Hornady 8785 cases are designed specifically for the 454 Casull cartridge and handgun reloading applications.
Unprimed means the cases do not come with primers installed. You will need to add primers separately as part of your reloading process.
Hornady manufactures these cases for durability and multiple reloads. The exact number of reloads depends on your specific load data, pressure levels, and handling, but Hornady brass is designed to give you more reloads per case than commodity alternatives.
Yes. Hornady maintains strict lot-to-lot consistency, so cases from different production runs are virtually identical in weight and capacity. This means you can confidently load the same data across cases from multiple Hornady lots.
