Hornady
The Hornady Custom Grade Series I 2-Die Set for 300 PRC gives you the precision tooling needed to load accurate, consistent rounds for this magnum cartridge. Whether you're building loads for a new long-range build or fine-tuning ammunition for competition, this two-die set pairs a full-length sizing die with a bullet seater die—the core tools for repeatable handloads. Hornady backs these dies with confidence: they're guaranteed never to break or wear out from normal use, a promise built on decades of reloading die engineering.
The sizing die features Hornady's Zip Spindle Design, which locks positively to the press to eliminate any slippage during the stroke. Fine threads on both the spindle and collet let you make precise incremental adjustments for neck tension and shoulder setting, or zip it up and down quickly for coarser changes. The seater die ensures bullet runout stays tight and seating depth repeatable, shot after shot. Both dies carry Hornady's Sure-Loc lock rings—they clamp around the entire die body and apply constant pressure to the threads without the locking screw ever touching them, so you get a rock-solid hold without stripping or marring.
Inside, every die features precision-machined and polished surfaces that let cases move smoothly through the sizing stroke without sticking or excessive friction. The sizing die includes an elliptical expander, Hornady's exclusive design that outperforms ball expanders by providing superior neck sizing with minimal case neck stretch and reduced friction.
| Cartridge | 300 PRC |
| Die Set Configuration | 2-die set (sizing die and seater die) |
| Die Series | Custom Grade Series I |
| Manufacturer | Hornady |
| Model | 546351 |
You get a full-length sizing die and a bullet seater die. The sizing die features the Zip Spindle and elliptical expander; the seater die handles bullet insertion and seating depth.
These are standard 7/8" x 14 thread dies, designed for use with any reloading press that accepts standard die threads. Confirm your press compatibility before ordering.
This die set is designed for 300 PRC. Check the product documentation or contact us to confirm which bullet profiles and weights the seater stem accommodates.
The elliptical expander in the sizing die provides smooth, even neck expansion with less friction and case neck stretch than traditional ball expanders. It's also designed to eliminate the need for a separate expander die if you decide to load a different caliber by necking up.
