Hornady XTP 44 Cal .430 240 GR hollow point bullets are a trusted choice for handloaders working up ammunition for .44 Magnum revolvers and other .44 caliber platforms. Built on decades of real-world performance data from hunters, competitive shooters, and law enforcement, the XTP line has earned its reputation for reliable expansion and consistent ballistics downrange. This 100-count box gives you enough premium bullets to develop loads and get serious practice in without constantly restocking.

The XTP's design centers on controlled, predictable expansion across a wide velocity range—critical whether you're handloading magnum hunting loads or working milder target velocities. Symmetrical serrations weaken the jacket in a way that initiates expansion reliably without premature fragmentation, and the gilding metal jacket protects the hollow cavity to ensure consistent performance on impact. A swaged core maintains uniform density, keeping each bullet balanced in flight and expanding evenly when it matters most.

For revolver shooters, the cannelure helps lock the bullet securely in the case during crimping, reducing runaway rounds and improving consistency shot to shot. Because the cannelure is applied before the final forming process, there's no distortion to the finished bullet—a detail that shows in tighter groups and more repeatable velocities when you're working up your loads. Whether you're chasing accuracy at the range or preparing serious hunting ammunition, these .430-diameter, 240-grain pills give you a proven platform to build on.

Frequently Asked Questions

What .44 caliber firearms can I use these bullets in?

These .430-diameter bullets are designed for .44 Magnum revolvers and other .44 caliber platforms. Always confirm bullet diameter and firearm compatibility before loading.

Do these bullets come with a cannelure?

Yes. The XTP includes a cannelure designed to help achieve accurate, consistent crimping in revolver applications. It's applied before final forming to prevent distortion.

Are these bullets suitable for both hunting and target shooting?
