The Hornady Universal Shell Holder #5 is a precision-engineered reloading accessory built to manage multiple rifle and pistol cartridges in one compact tool. If you're setting up a reloading bench that handles a diverse caliber roster—from .380 ACP to .204 Ruger, .222 Remington, 6mm TCU, and similar rounds—this steel shell holder lets you avoid buying a separate holder for each cartridge. It's a straightforward way to streamline your setup and keep your die station organized without breaking the bank.

Built from solid steel and heat-treated for durability, this shell holder is machined to tight tolerances so it seats cartridges securely and consistently. That precision matters: a sloppy fit introduces variables that show up downrange. The #5 size is engineered to work seamlessly with Hornady's own reloading tools—including the Handheld Priming Tool and Cam-Lock Case Trimmer—and it's also compatible with most major press brands on the market, making it a flexible choice whether you're running a single-stage, turret, or progressive press.

Reloaders who juggle multiple calibers know that shell holders are one of those consumable-adjacent items worth buying once and forgetting about. This one earns its place on the bench: it's uncomplicated, durable, and removes one variable from your ammunition preparation routine.
