The Hogue 86000 Monogrip Finger Grooves Black Rubber Grip for Ruger RedHawk is a single-piece replacement grip that transforms how your revolver feels in hand and performs on target. Built with ergonomic finger grooves and ambidextrous palm swells, this grip works for right- and left-handed shooters alike, delivering consistent control and comfort without requiring any gunsmithing or modifications to your firearm.

What sets the Monogrip apart is its patented steel stirrup system—a simple yet effective design that clips over your existing stock pin or bottom strap. This innovative mounting method means the grip adapts to your RedHawk's frame without permanent alterations, making it a reversible upgrade you can swap out anytime. The high handhold on the backstrap is the real game-changer: by lowering your bore axis, it noticeably reduces muzzle rise during recoil, helping you get back on target faster during rapid-fire strings and improving overall shooting dynamics, especially when shooting two-handed.

Hogue's black rubber construction combines durability with a positive grip texture that works in wet or gloved conditions. The finger groove layout encourages a high, secure purchase on the frame, which contributes to both accuracy and control. This grip is purpose-built for serious revolver shooters—whether you're at the range, in the field, or refining your defensive shooting skills with a .357 Magnum or .44 Magnum RedHawk.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this grip fit my Ruger RedHawk without gunsmithing?

Yes. The Monogrip uses a patented steel stirrup that clips over your existing stock pin or bottom strap, requiring no permanent modifications or alterations to the revolver.

Does this grip work for both left- and right-handed shooters?

Yes. The ambidextrous palm swells are designed to provide equal comfort and control for shooters of either hand orientation.

How does a higher handhold reduce muzzle rise?

By positioning your hand higher on the backstrap, the grip lowers the bore line relative to your hand, which reduces the leverage muzzle rise has during recoil. This improves your ability to recover quickly between shots, especially during rapid-fire or two-hand shooting sequences.

What's included with this grip?

The product includes the single-piece grip with finger grooves and the patented steel stirrup mounting system. Installation uses your existing RedHawk stock pin or bottom strap.
