Hogue
The Hogue Extrak 3.30" fixed blade knife pairs a capable clip point blade with everyday carry practicality. Built from CPM M4 steel with a stone tumbled finish, this is a no-nonsense fixed blade for hunters, field workers, and outdoor enthusiasts who need reliable edge retention and corrosion resistance without fuss. The orange G-10 handle provides confident grip in wet or gloved conditions, while the plain edge blade keeps maintenance simple and performance predictable. Whether you're processing game, camp chores, or general utility work, the Extrak delivers the straightforward performance that defines Hogue's approach to blade design.
CPM M4 is a tool steel known for exceptional edge holding and ease of sharpening—traits that matter when you're far from town and your blade is doing real work. The stone tumbled finish on both blade and hardware gives the Extrak a refined, understated look that doesn't announce itself unnecessarily. At 3.30 inches, the clip point blade strikes a balance: long enough for most camp and field tasks, compact enough for practical carry and safe handling.
This is a fixed blade, which means no moving parts to fail and full-tang construction for durability under stress. The orange G-10 scales are tough, dimensionally stable across temperature swings, and won't rot or delaminate like wood or some synthetics. Comes with a sheath so you're ready to work right out of the box.
| Blade Length | 3.30 inches |
| Blade Shape | Clip Point |
| Blade Steel | CPM M4 |
| Edge Type | Plain |
| Blade Finish | Stone Tumbled |
| Handle Material | Orange G-10 |
| Construction | Fixed Blade, Full Tang |
| Model Number | 35860 |
The Extrak's size and clip point shape make it ideal for camp tasks, hunting, field dressing, and general utility work where you need a capable blade without the bulk or weight of a larger knife. The plain edge is especially practical for backcountry use where you may not have easy access to sharpening tools.
CPM M4 is a tool steel prized for holding an edge longer than many stainless steels and for sharpening easily with basic stones. It does require more care against corrosion than stainless, so occasional oiling is recommended in wet environments, but the superior edge-holding and sharpening characteristics make the trade-off worthwhile for working blades.
The knife comes with a sheath, so you have protection and carry options right out of the box.
G-10 is a fiberglass-reinforced composite that resists temperature swings, won't absorb water, and delivers consistent grip whether you're gloved or working in rain. The bright orange color makes the knife easier to locate in brush or grass and won't degrade over years of field use like wood or softer synthetics.
