Hi-Point Firearms
The Hi-Point 3895TS .380 ACP carbine delivers semi-automatic rifle capability in a compact, no-frills package designed for shooters who value function over flash. Built on straightforward blowback operation, this 16.5-inch barreled carbine chambers the mild-mannered .380 ACP round—a practical choice for shooters seeking low recoil and reduced muzzle report. At just over 6 pounds and 31 inches overall, it's lean and manageable, making it suitable for closer-range recreational shooting, property defense, or a truck gun that won't wear you out during a long day. The California-compliant 10-round configuration meets state legal requirements without compromise to the core rifle's reliability.
This is a working carbine, not a tactical showpiece. The polymer furniture keeps weight down and cost reasonable, while the manual safety sits right where you need it for quick engagement. Adjustable peep rear and post front sights provide a straightforward sighting system proven across generations of rifles, and the integrated Weaver rail opens the door to optics, lights, or other accessories if you want to upgrade your sight picture. The thumb magazine release and last-round lock-open feature follow familiar rifle ergonomics. An internal recoil buffer soaks up the mild .380 impulse, contributing to a soft-shooting experience even for extended sessions.
Hi-Point's no-apologies approach means you get honest, durable machinery without paying for marketing or unnecessary refinement. The carbine is factory rated for +P ammunition, giving you flexibility in load selection. If you're hunting for a .380 ACP semi-auto rifle that strips away pretense, shoots straight, and won't leave you broke, the 3895TS earns consideration—especially if you're bound by California's magazine and configuration rules.
