Hiperfire
The Hiperfire EDT Designated Marksman is a single-stage AR-15 trigger designed for shooters who want a refined, controllable pull without sacrificing reliability. Built on Hiperfire's Enhanced Duty Trigger platform, the Designated Marksman configuration pairs a medium pull weight with the brand's signature SwingFast hammer and self-cleaning geometry—all engineered to keep your rifle running clean and fast through competition stages, hunting applications, and precision shooting where trigger control matters.
What sets the Designated Marksman apart is its Duplex Trigger Bow design. This dual-position trigger shoe lets you choose your engagement: position your finger high for a heavier pull and added safety margin under stress, or drop low for the crisp, precise control you need behind glass at distance. Hiperfire includes two interchangeable hammer springs, so you can dial in either a 4.5 lb. or 5.5 lb. pull to match your preference and your rifle's role. The extra-weight SwingFast hammer ensures hard, positive primer strikes without creep, and short over-travel means less wasted motion between break and reset—a reset you'll feel and hear clearly.
The self-cleaning trigger geometry is built to shed debris naturally, keeping jamming and reset problems at bay in field conditions. The EDT Designated Marksman fits small-pin (.153") AR-15 lower receivers and AR-308 rifles that accept AR-15 triggers, making it a straightforward drop-in upgrade for most modern builds. If you shoot service rifle matches, hunt medium to long range, or run precision courses where trigger feel and control define performance, this is a trigger that earns its place on your rifle.
