HEVI-Shot HEVI-Hammer 20 gauge 3" waterfowl shotgun shells deliver the density and ballistics waterfowl hunters need without the premium cost of pure tungsten loads. Built with bismuth pellets cast in HEVI-Shot's own foundry, these 1 oz #3 shells are engineered to pattern tighter, fly faster, and hit harder than standard steel, giving you a real edge over wary ducks and geese. Whether you're working a marsh at dawn or settling in over decoys, HEVI-Hammer shells bring the knockdown power and consistency serious waterfowlers expect—at a price that lets you stock up for the season.

The 20 gauge offers less recoil than 12 gauge loads while maintaining the performance you need for effective range and pattern density. The #3 shot size is a proven choice for waterfowl across most conditions, and a 3" case gives you the payload and velocity to reach birds at legitimate distance. This case includes 10 boxes of 25 rounds each, giving you a full 250-round supply ready to go.

HEVI-Shot built its reputation on understanding what works in the field and making it accessible. These shells prove that philosophy: you get density-driven performance from bismuth pellets—a non-toxic alternative that patterns reliably—without the wallet hit of all-tungsten ammunition. If you're hunting waterfowl with a 20 gauge and want ammo that performs, HEVI-Hammer belongs in your blind.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are HEVI-Hammer 20 gauge shells legal for waterfowl hunting?

HEVI-Hammer shells use bismuth, a non-toxic shot material. Check your state and local hunting regulations, as waterfowl regulations vary by region and may have specific requirements for shot type and gauge.

What's the difference between bismuth and steel shot?

HEVI-Shot's bismuth pellets are denser than steel, which helps them pattern tighter, maintain velocity better, and deliver more knockdown power at distance. Bismuth is also non-toxic, making it an alternative to lead in areas where lead is restricted.

Can I use these shells in any 20 gauge shotgun?

These are standard 3" 20 gauge shells. Make sure your shotgun is rated for 3" shells; some 20 gauges are limited to 2 3/4" rounds. Always check your firearm's manual and chamber markings.

How many rounds do I get in a case?

Each case contains 10 boxes of 25 rounds, for a total of 250 shells—enough for a full season of waterfowl hunting.
