Heritage Mfg
The Heritage Rough Rider Barkeep is a compact single-action revolver built for shooters who value portability and classic western styling in a pint-sized package. Chambered in .22 LR and built around a 2-inch barrel, this rimfire revolver delivers the kind of approachable, low-recoil shooting experience that works equally well for introducing new shooters, plinking sessions, or a lightweight trail companion. The scroll wood grips give it genuine character—this isn't a tactical plastic gun, it's a revolver that looks and feels like it belongs in the Old West.
At just over 26 ounces with an overall length under 8 inches, the Barkeep lives up to its name as a compact carry option. The fixed open sights are straightforward and fast to use, and the single-action trigger breaks cleanly for accurate shooting. The simulated case-hardened frame finish carries that heritage aesthetic without sacrificing durability. What really sets the Barkeep apart is its flexibility: it ships with the .22 LR cylinder, but Heritage designed it to work with an optional interchangeable .22 WMR cylinder, giving you the ability to shoot two different rimfire rounds from the same gun—a practical feature for shooters who want versatility without buying a second revolver.
If you're looking for a fun, honest single-action revolver that doesn't pretend to be something it isn't, or if you need a reliable, lightweight rimfire gun that fits in a pack or truck console, the Barkeep checks those boxes without the hype or the price tag that comes with fancier options.
