What sets the Rough Rider apart is its simplicity. Fixed open sights keep things uncomplicated, and the steel barrel and cylinder deliver reliable accuracy at practical distances. The alloy frame keeps weight reasonable at just over 33 ounces, making it comfortable to carry or handle for extended shooting sessions. Whether you're introducing someone to handguns, plinking at targets, or keeping a quiet .22 at the cabin, this revolver handles the job with zero pretense.
The black finish and plastic grips give the gun a no-frills appearance that matches its straightforward purpose. Single-action operation means you control the trigger pull and cylinder rotation, which also makes this an excellent training platform if you plan to shoot other handguns later. At this price point and with Heritage's reputation for durability, you're getting genuine American-made value.
