The Heritage Rough Rider 22 LR 3.5" black revolver is a scaled-down take on the legendary single-action army design, built for shooters who want Old West aesthetics without the full magnum recoil. This rimfire revolver chambers .22 LR and .22 Magnum, making it equally at home for casual plinking, small-game hunting, or western action shooting. With a 6-round capacity and single-action trigger, it rewards deliberate shooting and is forgiving enough for newer shooters to build confidence on the range.

Heritage engineered the Rough Rider using precision machinery that delivers tight cylinder lock-up and reliable action timing—meaning your shots land where you aim. The 3.5" machined steel barrel is micro-threaded and precisely fitted into the aluminum-alloy frame, optimizing the barrel-to-cylinder gap for consistent ammunition performance across both .22 calibers. The blued steel finish paired with authentic cocobolo bird's-head grips gives the gun genuine character; a flat-sided hammer and integrated hammer block with a red-dot ready indicator complete the package.

Weighing just 33.4 ounces and measuring 8.785" overall, this revolver sits comfortably in hand or holster. Open fixed sights and a 6-pound trigger pull keep the action straightforward and predictable. Whether you're teaching a younger shooter, hunting rabbits and squirrels, or rounding out your rimfire collection, the Rough Rider delivers honest, well-made revolver shooting without pretense or unnecessary complexity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this revolver shoot both .22 LR and .22 Magnum?

Is the Heritage Rough Rider good for hunting?

It's suitable for small-game hunting—rabbits, squirrels, and similar varmint. The single-action design, tight lock-up, and accurate barrel make it reliable for close-range hunting applications where .22 rimfire is appropriate.
